Leather & Textiles
The use of enzymes in leather and textile chemical processing has gained global recognition because of their non-toxic and eco-friendly characteristics. Enzymes work under milder conditions to their traditional chemical counterparts while also being able to:
- reduce processing times
- reduce energy requirements
- reduce water requirements
When using enzymes, manufactures have a greater control over their processes, being able to more accurately tailor products to specific requirements.
Our cellulases for example are widely used for bio polishing, creating softer fabric, colour brightness and bio stoning.
In leather beam houses, our enzymes are used for soaking, bating, and liming.
